The Bassett Law Firm is pleased to announce that Terry Binder has joined the company as the Director of Business Development effective January 11, 2010. Terry had served the firm as Director of Program and Technical Support for the past five years in a consultative capacity. The Bassett Law Firm seeks to expand our customer support services for its client companies. Some of those specialties would include query and award letter interpretations, on-site training, and claims review services.

For nearly three decades, Terry has been an influence to advocates and claimants alike in the field of Social Security. After 16 years with the Social Security Administration in various field offices, management and trainer capacities, Terry brought his familiarity with public sector disability in the private disability sector. Terry has spawned new analytic methods and insights into the Social Security assistance claims management process. His ability to provide technical support and insight beyond the social security award contributed to additional reserve reductions for LTD carriers.

Binder has been instrumental in enlightening hundreds of LTD claims administrators, representatives, and disabled individuals on Social Security related programs and is a well-respected specialist in the field, having spoken at national disability conferences and events.

Binder has helped LTD carriers gain insight into various claims management techniques impacting not only the initial offset, but in management subsequent social security aspects of the LTD claim.
